Participation in the new season of the AFC Champions League will be the fourteenth for our club, which is a repeat of the tournament‘s record. The Saudi Al-Khilal also will play in the League for the fourteenth time.
The second place is shared by Al-Ain (UAE) and Al-Sadd (Qatar), who will participate in the AFC Champions League for the thirteenth time. The Chonbuk Motors (Korea) will participate in the AFC Champions for the eleventh time, as much participation in the Iranian Sepahan, which will miss the season of 2018.
In total in the Champions League Pakhtakor played 87 matches (the 4th result in Asia), won 39 of them (the fifth result), and scored 133 points (the fifth result).
Football players of our club scored 123 goals (the sixth result on the continent) and missed 114.
Recall that Pakhtakor played twice in the semifinals of the Champions League - in 2003 and 2004.
In the season of 2018 our club will start participating in the tournament with a match away in Qatar against Al Gharafa on January 30. In case of victory, the "lions" will qualify for the group tournament, the draw of which will be held in Kuala Lumpur on December 6.
